They look cool, but I don't like the Tennessee Titans wearing the color scheme of the Houston Oilers.

They should give the history and color scheme of the Oilers back to the city of Houston.
I could be wrong, but I believe the owner of the Texans tried to get back the naming rights or something like at one point and Titans ownership wouldn’t do it.

:patrice: Maybe I'm tripping and the Oilers jerseys always looked like this, but the blue looks.... undersaturated. Not bright/intense enough. I know it's not supposed to be Carolina baby blue, but there is a bit too much gray in the mix for them to pop like they're supposed to. But that's me :hubie:

Now all they need is this & they’re back in business
The Texans owner shoulda wrote a check for the oilers rights. Even if it cost 2billi

shyt is so ass backwards. Just do like the NBA with Charlotte and give the Oilers back to Houston and come up with some new shyt. If the history and colors are so important and/or profitable why did you leave in the first place?
that required cooperation from ownership. Benson wanted to change the team name and give it is own identity anyway re: Hornets.

as for the bolded: because Tennessee had stadium money that Houston didn't.

They went back to those OG Houston Oilers colors which I think is dope.

That Titans helmet logo needs to be revisited though, shyt looks like something a second grader came up with.

The old logo looked like a bad, trashy tattoo so this is a step up.

I am talking about ownership. I dont get why they are clinging to the Oilers so stuff. They need to establish their own identity.

Serious question because I dont remember: Did Houston magically come up with stadium money less than a decade later?

Bud Adams wanted to keep the colors. dikk move, but he could do that. Tagliabue is why the Texans can't just change their name to Oilers

but to the 2nd question, yes. The 80s was rough for oil companies and Houston wasn't tryna pay for a new stadium. Bud wanted it come from taxpayers so he left. When the economy bounced back, so many cities had stadium money, hence why there was a boom in stadium building in the 90s/00s. Houston went from tryna share the Astrodome with everyone to not needing the Astrodome anymore and having money for Enron Field and Reliant Stadium (and later on Toyota Center)
