Lol no one is on their level, not even Superman.
This is only true within the last 35 or so years. Before that, Superman was the most popular and profitable superhero by a wide margin.Basically, you got Spider-Man and (just a smidge behind him) Batman that are proven transcendent heroes. i.e. no matter the decade/era, kids will flock to them. Cinematic universe or not, cartoons or video games, domestic or international retail, money will be generated.
After that, you have a Superman and (somewhat lesser extent) X-Men that are well-known/pop culture but their peak popularity was a bit more era-specific; i.e. how lucrative they are could change with the times/circumstances.
And then you have the "old new school" of Ironman, Cap, and Black Panther. Across outside media (movies and merch) they've been individually and collectively more popular/profitable than Superman and the X-Men for the past 15 years, but obviously we'll need to see how sustainable they can be in the next decade/era. They already sabotaged BP but someone like Ironman once they eventually reboot it with a different actor, that will be interesting.
I digress tho lol

It's pretty indisputable that before the late 1980s, Superman was the most popular and profitable comic book superhero. There’s actually no data that backs that up, outside of spotty comic sales which started recording them in 1960 but with virtually no available data in the 70s other than antecodal evidence of the rise of Marvel.
Which means for 65 years, Superman was on top in the 60s (and it wasn’t by wide margin, as Batman was number #1 for 4-5 of those years) and for sure in the late 70s/80s based on just outside media (aka the Reeve movies)
That’s kinda my point tho. We know Spidey and Batman ain’t going away for 35 years lol
That said, we’ll see if Superman can return to form starting next month, and what that looks like in 2025 onward
Why do you want that? (just asking)We are never getting a Cassandra Cain Bargirl flick …..
Why do you want that? (just asking)
OK, cool. I doubt that she'll get a film. The original Cassandra Cain comic run is fire . It’s the one where she was mute so her kung fu skills were off the charts .
She was giving Batman that work …. I’m not talking about the chubby chick for the flick
She’s 36 so she might be up there in age, but she’s not much older than David Corenswet. Gal Gadot was too skinny imo and she couldn’t act. Katy is muscular but not too buff and got the range in terms of acting.Too old and maybe even a little too buff.
David was cast as Superman when he was 30 (also, him being 4 years younger makes a difference in this case). The WW movie likely won't start production anytime soon. Katy would potentially be 37-39 if cast as WW. That's a big no.She’s 36 so she might be up there in age, but she’s not much older than David Corenswet.
