The fuccccccck? Like I said, I live in Jersey and I always question myself.....Paying $2500 for a studio apartment is it worth it? That doesnt seem crazy to u breh
All these answers revolve around food, alchohol, and sex.

You have to spend $5k a month so you can walk to a bar and people call it smart.
3k in Manhattan is a shytty walk up building but if you want to be like those idiots that will deal with mice and roaches just to say you live in Manhattan go ahead :russ:
We already exposed thier city on here.
The same two posters always come in and try to :cape: and justify getting robbed.

So the main appeal of living in NYC is living near traffic&walking distance to overpriced goods?

Manhattan is a shythole..thats why it was funny to hear Trump claim everywhere in Africa was a shythole when he came from one.

If you ever take public transit the whole system has been dirty as fukk for decades. You can't step foot outside your apartment or anywhere for that matter without someone panhandling you or giving you their story about why they need money.

Walking distance to overpriced food carts. Then if you go inside one of the big subways the food is still overpriced :mjlol:

Then you got millionaires ordering food delivery and not tipping their delivery guys :wow:

The nerve to have overpriced food on the same platform where its rats running all over the place and its faded out concrete floors with mentally ill people of all ages running through trains trolling and acting crazy to get donations. "Excuse me everyone sorry to bother you but while I have your attention, quite frankly I am HIV positive and living on the streets and need your donation".

Yall can keep hyping up this garbage city :camby: but rational people know its garbage and its why it is one of the places that has had people leaving constantly in recent years.

shyt its probably a better investment to go to NYU and just dorm and eat there as a student, than to rent an actual apartment in NYC. NYC IS GARBAGE. GARBAGE....we aint exagerrating when we say this.

It gets hyped up so much when I've seen better areas to live in Queens and yes these are Black areas.

Where you gonna go at in the city other than restaurants or stores all the time?

If you want luxury. Sure. If you want luxury AND a neighborhood feel. No.

LIC is just a bunch of glass towers. Feels very industrial and commercial to most folks. It's better value for that reason if you don't mind it. Some do some don't.

no nice parks or outdoor spaces in the area?

New Yawk where I’m from / Bahston where I’m at
I lived in Manhattan for 13 years ending in 2010 spending 2k a month for a studio then owning a loft apartment last few years.

Not worth it to pay 3k for a studio, no matter what it still feels like a studio aka like being broke. Most people renting studios still have to be frugal, taking a lot of the joy out of 24/7 access to food, restaurants, groceries, etc - lifestyle just doesn’t add up for most. People I knew that made the most out of living in Manhattan had roommates in a 2-3BR.

that is what I keep saying about living in these metropolises like London, SF, NY, DC

Sure there may be a lot of stuff, culture etc, but if most of your income is being vaccumed up by exorbitant rent, bills and healthcare costs are you really enjoying the city?

When people say 3000 for a studio I honestly look at them as being easily bamboozled. I grew up in Brooklyn so I was accustomed to the 35 min train ride to the city but since I moved uptown...that 10 min ride fukks with your head lmaoooooo

On the east side of Harlem you can get a studio/one bed for maybe less than 2k if you stay ready. I recommend apartment hunting in the middle of winter because that’s when people are more willing to make a deal to come from under listings

NY isn’t about land it’s about having more access to everything than the rest of the country

:mjlol: You don't have the right to "Enough Said!" shyt, homie. You wrong, loud, and you ain't even from here. :hhh: You literally said a thing that was factually, provably incorrect and can't even scrape up enough good grace to admit your error.

This is why ppl don't fw yall. :rudy:
Breh isn’t wrong though people who live above 96th street mostly jack they hood (Harlem, the Heights, Dyckman) when you ask where they’re from

None of my cousins from Harlem will say they from Manhattan if you asked them where they were from :heh:
