Funk Flex is stuck in the 90's and early 00's tried saying French Montana is bigger than A$AP Rocky

and I never said he was everything NY needs, but hes a representation of my age group who were teens in the early-mid 00's in the north east who grew up on NY hip hop AND southern hip hop.

NY can try pushing Troy Ave all they want but it isn't going to happen.

Rocky is doing exactly what other regions did with NY hip hop except, hes doing it from other regions, taking a sound and influence and doing his own thing and creating his own lane.



hes proof that hip hop has come full circle.

having production that sounds like other artists are using don't mean you're not doing your own thing with that production.

lil b?! rocky raps over clams production and actually does it justice because he got an ear for beats and knows how to flow on them.

drake fukkin pretty much got a poverty heatmakerz beat on his album, literally told the producer that's what he wanted. but does it sound like a dipset song? no.

ive listened to all three of those artists, and i can't name a single song that sounds like those songs I posted.
