it doesnt work like that you have to be a low income person qualified for it...:francis: or so i heard...

I’m about to apply for that housing lottery. My sister just found a nice place in Washington Heights for $1200. If I could find something for around that price, I’d be happy.

:dahell:

They already completed the linden houses in east New York and there’s not a single cac out there by Pennsylvania Avenue unless they are a prostitute.

Same with the Murphy houses in the Bronx. Area still ghetto as before

I mean alot of these luxury high rise apartments are going to be the new projects soon

All across the country

The ones In Dallas are terrible when you actually go there in person
Not all projects look the same either. In LES, there's blocks that have a low income building, a project building, and a luxury high rise all on the same block next to each other. They all look the same from the outside and inside. Same exact buildings. In 1 you can pay $25 a month for a 3 bedroom 2 bath. In the next one over that same apartment costing you $4500

The World, but from BK
I remember I had an internship with NYCHA in the finance department. I had to review batches of rent payments and confirm the payment data entered in the database was accurate and push thru vendor invoices to be paid. When I first started the internship some manager left or got fired, so they somehow had me reviewing the work of actual staff members and gave me the old manager's office because it was the only free seat in the office. I'd come in every morning, close the office door, sleep for a half hr, eat donuts and read newspapers until people submitted their work for me to review. :pachaha:
That year the city was on a hiring freeze so they couldn't offer me a real position :pacspit:

SAN ANTONIO SPURS NY DIVISION
I wasnt saying Adams wasnt involved, just he's not the spearhead for this.
NYCHA is an Authority and therefore answers to the feds as much as the mayor (if not more at times)

It has zero to do with Adams because its not NYCHA doing this work. Those buildings have been leased for 99 years (fake sale) and are managed by a private company., As part of the lease agreements they promise to do repairs, fix up and etc.

Theres a few programs for this, PACT, RED and some other names ...

Nycha pretty much privatized at this point...

It all started with Deblasio

The private companies are gonna start cleaning house once they get settled...

Certain tenants will be given their "walking papers"

Wondering how they'll look in 3 years when those first maintenance calls roll in :jbhmm: is the super gonna pull up the same day if the pipes fukk up or the walls start showing their age :patrice: and not because the tenant is doing him "favors" :takedat:
