NYPD lets a lot of bullshyt crimes slide even if they are aware of it. I've seen people hop the turnstile in front of the cops and they didn't do anything Sometimes, they still do give people tickets for hopping the turnstile but some cops let it slide. I seen someone straight up ask a cop if he can go for free on the train and the cop said "Yeah, thank you asking first ". I got caught slippin for walking through the gate at a subway station before, I didn't see the cop when I did it but he approached me after the fact, he asked me why I walked through the gate and told him I had no money which was the truth (2013-2015 was rough for me) and let me go. Remember those cheap sneakers Marbury sold in the late 2000s? Well I still was wearing a pair as recently as the mid 2010s when this happened.



My broke years as a adult was crazy, I once did a round trip from Canarsie to Yonkers without paying a dime. I walked though the bus lane at the L train stop in Canarsie and took the 1 train to the last stop in The Bronx and walked to Yonkers from there Coming back I walked down Broadway from Yonkers to the 1 train station and hopped the turnstile and made it back home to brooklyn without paying my fare at all
