The real New York City. The city before it got gentrified. The rawness, gritty and real.

Mind you, NYC in the early 90's was wild af. No social media no camera phones. You was on your own.

Before Giuliani came and turned Times Square into Disney square, Times Square was full of prostitutes, drugs, muggings and stabbings.

East New York, Brownsville, South Bronx just to name a few neighborhoods had some of the highest murder rates in the early 90's. Its way safer now. Back then, it was a death zone.

In the late 90's NYC calmed down a bit until 9/11.

I'll love to witness NYC in the 90's. Just think of it, the prime of Hip Hop, NYC clubbing at its prime, honeys with no lopsided BBLS, music stores delivering albums every week, the Twin Towers, video arcades, etc.

I got to witness this …yes I’m :flabbynsick:

I was 12 in 93 and i used to go to nyc every other weekend …south bronx /hunts point Ave at my step pops place …remember goin all around the bronx as a kid begging my mom to buy me bootleg cassettes off the street vendors

The vibe was so amazing back then i remember it so fondly miss those days
