Its gonna be a big year for NYC. Word on the street is that our secret weapon is being scouted by Majors. I heared he has been frontin on em, I guess he wanna establish himself as a underground artist first. But the heavy hitters he got willing to back him up is gonna put NY right back on the map

not bothered to read this thread but hip hop seems to be having a pretty decent year full stop... on another point what other genre of music narrows itself down into cities.... There's 4 to 5 main ppl thats buzzin around now.
-One is in talks of signing to Roc Nation by Jigga, sum young street cat from Brooklyn, think Stack Bundles type ish.
-There is another nikka from Queens I forgot his fukkin name, he jus dropped a tape. Universal scooped him up, he more of a Ace Hood fella to me personally.
-There's a duo from Harlem, who is in talks of signing with Atlantic. I posted there video in that NY Back Thread. Song is called NBA
-There's another one from Brooklyn that RCA is trying to scoop up. Young kid 17-18, he a funny guy, has a lil team like Rocky. His name is Ken Rebel.
I personally think the kid sucks.
Then there's the one that im pretty sure is gonna change the whole she bang out here. Ive talked about him before on here. But for some odd reason all this kids material has been pulled off the net. I hear that
is beasting to sign him. But the kid wants to establish himself first. I think he is gonna come out on some Weeknd type mystery shyt. Cuz I used to hear all about him from January till like September. Then all of a sudden his stuff disppeared and he fell off the map.Im in the loop out here cuz I used to be pretty big in the night life scene. So I keep my ear to whats buzzin. What the majors are doing is pretty much setting up a artifical "New York Revival Renaissance" that they are gonna begin to unleash in 2013.
Thats why alot of up and commers are gettin signed quick. Even Mr.MFN Exquire signed a deal for 1mil to universal. The labels are thirsty and I think that mixed with the talent out here right now is gonna set things off.
People need to stop caring about what region or city is doing what. This is the internet age now. Anyone anywhere can access anything they want in seconds and rappers are being influenced by each other regardless of the region they from. shyt is irrelevant to me. Then again I'm from Philly so I never gave a fukk about that NY vs La. vs the bay. vs. Atlanta shyt.
