The Jets and Revis really didnt have much to talk about...the Jets have known for a while Revis wants to be the highest paid player...there was nothing to talk about. The Jets werent giving a CB 16 mill per. And neither was any other team in the league other than TB. Get the picks and move on.

Cromartie made the pro bowl last year

From 8-8 to 6-10.

That's the difference Revis made in 2012.

To me that defense didn't miss much with him out. Sure it was worse, but it wasn't that much worse.

So what your saying us Cro = revis !? The jets deserve all the negativity they get . the guys decided to pay Cro, team destroyer wr , Sanchez and David' Harris yet their best player they refuse to pay ?? Their are guys that aren't qbs that have worse contracts than what revis got , fitz had no qb So he was useless last year too . People acting like revis isn't worth the money (when healthy) when actually the jets just paid the wrong players . So now revis is the fall guy :what: the jets kept a lame duck coach with a roster to go 5-11 :heh: why not completely restart and try to get a franchise qb in the draft no instead they continuing to half ass

The Jets paying the wrong players and paying Revis now are two different animals.

I don't know what the Jets top needs are but ya'll might find this picture from this morning interesting if you don't want to get blind sided on draft day.

I know I'm going to be seen as biased but if the Jets do in fact pick DJ Hayden I don't think it would be a reach at all. I'm not sure I'd go as far as saying he's as good or better than Milliner but if he's not he's surely not far behind. I'm sure the front office is just covering their bases but thought I'd pass along some info.

jets didnt even talk to revis, their best player, who does biz like that?

I know . Why would revis try to be open to a deal towards a team that shows no interest in trying to reward the guy who actually performed for them . Holmes and Sanchez they baby and reward but Not your allpro cb :dwillhuh: woody Johnson republican ass probably doesn't like revis attitude

Yeah, 2 different regimes.

Can't compare Tannenbaum to Idzik moves.

Tannenbaum was a complete fukking idiot. Idzik is showing some smarts, he plays his cards right and he's building for the future instead of clinging to an elite player who is not committed to being on your team in the future.

That relationship between owner and player was so ruined at that point, Revis constant holdouts and cashgrabs got old.

You look at the team and they were 8-8 with Revis in 2011 and a much better offense. They were 6-10 without Revis and a much worse offense.

He didn't make that big of an impact, it's just plain to see.

if it's $0 guaranteed even? you at least entertain the discussion. woody johnson had his mind made up, for shame

Its not 0 guaranteed unless you think the Bucs cut him prior to the 2013 season.

Revis is getting 16 mill in 2013 and anything short than another knee injury he'll see 16 mill in 2014 too.

See but that's a bunch of bullshyt.

They been rewarding Revis. He's BEEN paid. He held out so he would get PAID.

They restructured his deal to satisfy him before. At some point you can't just do whatever the guy says.

First he wanted to be highest paid CB. They did that for him.

Then he wants to be highest pad defender coming off an ACL injury.

Take a fukking hike or get real. His ego was the problem, not the Jets lack of compensation

:heh: so if the jets didnt pay those guys and had the money to pay revis you would be ok with no paying him ?? It's hard to get elite players and the jets drafting history should show you that . In the NFL the contract isnt like MLB so why do you even care what revis wants to ask for if he doesn't perform he won't get all that money end of story . You guys seem to just be checkbook watching when you should be trying to keep your only draft pick hit in years. The jets should trade Holmes ( good luck with that ) and Cro if they don't want to compete and go for a number one pick

He's an elite player at a position that doesnt require elite players to consistently win games.

If Revis was a QB we wouldnt be having this argument because he would have been locked up a while ago.

How'd that Asomugha contract work out for Oakland?
