Revis got his money from the only team willing to give it to him.
The Jets didnt value him as much as the Bucs did. Most teams, well most well run franchises, dont break the bank for CB's. The Raiders did and look where that got them.
The Bucs right now are paying well above market value at a position.

The eagles are the ones who really overpaid aso . You can talk all this market value nonsense but elite players deserve to get paid ! You guys are the reason the owners can go on strike for more money when the team is already rich .
The Raiders gave Aso the absurd deal, which then in turn led to Revis' second holdout in 2010.
I`m really glad we stayed away, we're going to have to be paying Kaepernick soon enough and we damn well knew Revis wasn't worth that salary.
When you look at all the SB winners, most them are doing it with decent CB's.
We never had a cb that could ask for that money . And our ownership is well respected and has multiple sbs so I could see how we get the benefit of the doubt . We actually can draft players your team has like 3 good draft picks in how many years ?? That being said, with the way the game is played nowadays, locking that much money against the cap to a CB, to me, isnt the smart move.
