jets signed ivory to a 3 year, 10 mil contract.

:blessed:

i don't know why people act like revis didn't get paid. dude held out twice and got his money.

then he wanted qb money. if milliner ends up demanding 16 mil, then it's time to let him go.

but let's not act as if the jets aren't willing to pay cbs when we had revis and cro making like 30 mil combined.

exactly....the notion the Jets turned their back on Revis and never paid him is ridiculous. They paid him twice. They gave his Uncle and best friend a job within the organization. They tried with him...Revis and his camp are always going to squeeze every dollar they can.

This draft has left me with little to be excited about as a Jets fan.

I guess the silver lining is next year we will have a new coach, Sanchez will be gone and we will have a high draft pick.

Hard to argue with the value of some of our picks, but we have little to no offense and didn't do anything to really address that.

Is Dennis pita still a FA?Can we use some of that restructured cash on him?

I don't disagree, but our WR and TE situation is sub par, I do like that they grabbed two Guards.Just feel like this team lacks any type of impact player on O.

Maybe Hill will step it up this year :ohlawd:

it's a little weird that the jets drafted a defensive tackle to play offensive line.

Campbell was a 5 star DLineman out of Cass Tech High School in Michigan. He was recruited by Rich Rod, therefore, he was never coached up properly. He was moved to the OLine his sophomore year, and went back to Defensive Tackle his junior year (When Brady Hoke came aboard).

The new coaching staff helped make improvements, and he was solid his last 2 years in Ann Arbor. He's quick for his size, and he stays active. He's definitely got the athleticism to play on the Oline.

I wont lie tho .. as a MICHIGAN fan ... I had a lot higher hopes for him when he got to UM. (He was a top 10 player in the country coming out of high school) .. but after having to deal with the Rich Rod staff .. you just knew he was destined to fail.

Coples confirms he has been switched to OLB. Was told after the draft. Will play at 280-285 lbs

Manish Mehta ‏@MMehtaNYDN
Coples on moving to OLB: "It definitely gives me more opportunities to get to the QB. I definitely I can make lot more plays than last yr"

Conor Orr ‏@ConorTOrr
Coples said he was told about being a rush OLB after the draft in a meeting. Said biggest adjustment will be tackling in space

Chris Nimbley ‏@Cnimbley
Coples is expecting this to be full time move to OLB, won't rule out playing on line in some formations but not expecting to go back & forth

Brian Costello ‏@BrianCoz 8m
Coples said he was told after the draft he was moving to rush linebacker

You know what's crazy, I think the Jets D Line is slowly turning into a versatile enough line to face these hurry up offenses.

The best way to counter these defenses are to get these hybrid DL which we have in Wilk and Coples that can play both the edge and the interior. Now if we we can only get a LB with Ellerbe of the Ravens type of range.....

Coples has been moved to OLB.

I watched footage of Coples pass rushes. When rushing while standing up, he got a qb hit 7 out of 9 tries!!!!! :damn: I didn't understand why they didn't keep him out there all year as a stand up rusher!!!

With Richardson probably on the other edge, the hybrid line I spoke of months back is taking shape
