And everyone kinda believes him.

I think the issue here is that people are approaching this from a human's perspective. If aliens exist (which I believe they do), and they have visited Earth, we can't say for sure that we have absolutely nothing to offer them. We have no idea what their demeanor, ideologies or even current situation on their home planets would be. We wouldn't think Earth is special, because we have no other civilization to compare it to. But IF there's highly advanced beings that are visiting, then that could change things.

I mean for all we know, they could be on their Frieza shyt. Or, maybe they genuinely care. Either way, I don't think it's so simple to say that there's no reason for a visit. It could also just be simple interest in the end. Only way to know is to get the answers first hand.
