Modern NY rap (rap in general, if we’re keeping it a buck) is terrible, by and large, so a reboot wouldn’t be joined by the kind of sonic identity that figured so prominently in the original. Unless they’re going to use acts like Griselda and other contemporary throwbacks to the golden era, which is highly unlikely.

Eddie Torres = Wilmer Valderrama
Capt = Elizabeth Banks (she might be too big for TV) Katherine Heigl (Her career is DOA right now too)
Moreno = Adria Arjona
Danny Up = Drake (This is laughs, but actually probably could do it, don't think he'd be above doing some small TV spots, and I wouldn't be surprised if he had some personal reverence for the show)

I would say redo the show but do a prequel in the 80s or 70s

Problem all these record labels money hungry and these streaming services and cable stations cheap with the money. So we would have shows from the 80s and 70s with modern music...shyt be killing the whole vibe..
