and for the record, this is NOT a bash thread; bein' from va, i can remember when everybody and they mama wanted to claim to either be from new york or have some ties to new york. i remember when new york was the place EVERYONE wanted to be from or at :wow:

that panda song is horrible and i don't like and yes, it bites future obviously, who is from the south but new york's fall off happened long before all of this

That's debatable. I would say they were neck and neck with the South. Dipset peaked, 50's/T.I.'s career took off, Jay-Z dropped TBA, OutKast continued their run, etc.
