Dipset had a big following but they were a very minor factor in mainstream hip hop. They weren't on the radio and weren't selling that many records. Jadakiss sold more records than Cam during this era and they were nowhere near as big as G Unit in sales and spins.

Love the Dips but people are always misrepresenting that movement

NYC losing mainstream dominance was a blessing in disguise. The NY sound was getting way too poppy for my taste. Now it's back to its innovative underground roots. And the underground scene is as alive and well as ever. I've been feasting.
