yea.

when I was that age, we had PAL(Police Athletic League) in our school's auditorium/cafeteria.

and it was mostly the public school homies that showed up. things like these make a world of difference. I think they still have it too.

what are you talking about specifically?

this is why I don't deal with you arm-chair revolutionists, who sit far away on the sidelines and make generic remarks.
Before I respond, Is English your first language?

The unknown
Beautiful. Respect to him and the community. :wow:

You know it must be bad on the streets if kids actually want to go back to school on a Friday night.

No it’s not, it’s sad
Respect.

The reality is sad.

The choice that decent people make in response to the sad realities of life? Can be beautiful.

A cease-fire is beautiful. Bloods and Crips in LA breaking tension and walking with each other is beautiful. A program created to help young children and teens be comfortable about their abuse so they don't internalize it is beautiful.

And here, this administration making the choice to keep the grounds open to keep kids away from the street? Beautiful.

This is great. Not sure how are efforts like this not funded and readily available....I never understood blindly donating to charities without confirming whether it's supporting well needed efforts like this

This the type of stuff I love seeing man, if we had more things in our communities that show kids something positive and make it so they ain’t around all the BS all the time we’d be so much better off
