I was in Job Corps when GRODT dropped. There was no access to downloading from the internet, and very little access to any sorts of music stores. Someone from KC came in with burned copies and made a tidy lil sum off that. My main memory to this day of that album is waking through the dorms in Job Corps and that sh*t blasting through everyone's door. Black, white, Latino, didn't matter.

As a sidenote, Freeway, Tech N9ne got a lot of play around that time too
Philadelphia freeway dropped like a few weeks after grodt.

I copped both and played both of those out until diplomatic immunity dropped :wow:

anybody who used to cop rocafella albums know that they would have snippets and a few songs off the up and coming releases.

I was part of the flock of sheep banging the record but deep down I knew it was light on lyrics. The mixtapes >>>

We had g unit music banned from bars in the Stapleton/st George area. Multiple pool tables were flipped. Beatings were issued. Coke was snorted. Trips to the city to Rob people at the door of clubs. Getting into accidents bent in the am after having been up all night and putting the other driver to sleep before he could get our plates....

The good Ol days.
