No I'm dead serious my dude, I know it seems like you'd want them in your lap but I've seen it go bad 4 or 5 times. What happens is the end of those slides make you stop all weird and abrupt an sometimes you go sprawling, then at the bottom the baby has no momentum compared to the adult an the adult crushes them an rolls on top of them. Also seen it happen where the person tried to avoid that by holding the kid up in the air and then at the bottom when they stopped abruptly they dropped their kid on its face
If the child is too young/scared to go down on their own with a parent waiting on the bottom, then they are too young to go on that level of slide...
If the child will get hurt while sitting in your lap, then the slope of the slide is too steep for the child....
You crawl before you walk.... You don't just throw your kid down a steep ass slide because it's fun for your ass
