Ummm.... it really seems like landlords are using 'we gotta do renovations' or something of the sort to get people out....

Right the landlord is responsible for upkeep and getting inspections to make sure the property is up to code periodically.

Now the residents have to pay for the landlords negligence.

It wasn’t the landlord. The city condemned the building. The landlord tried to fix some items but it wasn’t enough.

He also owes the city 60k or 70k.
