It never fails with with some fans. When RD2 was announced people were tight because they had to be Arthur Morgan and not John Marston. Now many people consider Arthur as one of the best solo protagonist in video game history

When CJ was introduced people didn't want to play as a black character because they couldn't relate. Now San andreas has the reputation as one of if not the best gta ever

Females do grimy shyt in real life, you acting like Rockstar hasn't made games with females doing dirt before. You don't know shyt about the game but already losing your mind at the mention of the game having a woman in it. You on some cac shyt, or maybe you are a cac, which one is it?

Same shyt with all these anime games that are clearly pandering to weebs or Japanese players. For some reason it's only an agenda when it's catering to specific groups.

It's crazy cause gamers got no problem playing as a fukking alien or robot in a game, but if you made a game with a Somalian girl in a hijab as a protagonist, you know it's going to be pitchforks and tiki torches all over twitter.

Thank God shyt like resident evil, tomb raider, and metroid came out back in the days cause these weirdos would have lost their shyt having to play as Claire and Jill, talking about women surviving a zombie outbreak is unrealistic. More black characters definitely. But I think its equally important that we see more black writers behind these characters and stories too.

Because most times when they add a black character, its either a stereotype or someone completely lacking any authentic personality. And its usually a side role, not a character who is important to the plot. Mafia 3 is like the only recent example with multiple well written black characters in a game.

If I had it may way, I would make Persona 6 take place at a HBCU and get Spike Lee and Jordan Peele involved in the writing and producing just to troll these racist dweebs.

GTA was a multi billion dollar franchise before GTA online. 1-4 sold over 200 million copies

GTA has always been known for its stories and characters.

Imma be honest. One of the biggest things the hardcore gamers are tripping on is GTA single player being better than online, or that R* fukked up by abandoning single player DLC for online DLC.

Everyone wanted single player DLC for so long, that they completely ignored all the amazing content in online, which is arguably far better than any single player content they couldve came up with, not only content wise, but how its way more fulfilling and replayable as part of a MMO experience.
