I'm from Southeast VA, and I can tell you for sure that DC's slang and style influences everybody from Delaware to N.C. (maybe even parts of S.C.), especially back in the 90s/00s.

Youngin, Young, Joe, Bamma, Jive, etc.

We all sprinkle that shyt in our slang.

Only reason it's not even more widespread is because there haven't been many Hip Hop artists from the District.
