She said she wants to be with an Ethiopian male. The only reason I said he will be light skinned is because that’s all she dated in college. And I know for a fact there were darker skinned brothers who made a move on her. She just has preference for lighter skinned guys.

i don't know her or her husband but i'm willing to bet that his family is wealthy. a lot of these white guys who played tennis, lacrosse, soccer etc but never went pro end up coaching b/c they're never under any financial pressure.

That is definitely not the case. Bigos is actually the one with from the "wealthy" background, her dad seems to be a somewhat successful business man. the guy she married is literally just a high school tennis coach, from a very average background...not remotely close to upper middle class or having a family that has disposable income. He went to a shytty D3 or D2 school so he was/is never going to be anything more than a $40k a year high school teacher/coach.

I feel weird talking about this random people but the point is black women like her that i have met will almost never give a black man that isnt financially well off a chance. Isnt the biggest cry of black feminist that want to date out is that black men arent as educated and or dont make enough money? somehow that requirement disappears for nonblack men.
