Maybe because overseas they are racist as shiitake.Being that Hollywood is one of the most racist American institutions, it's no surprise Black actors are being fed scraps. How is the main talent on Empire being paid 10% of what the average white actor is being paid. And you nikkas trying to justify that?
I think their agents realize the studios won't budge when dealing with black talent. And they just accept whatever BS contract they can get.
Remember that European studio exec of Sony didn't want Denzel in some movie because he said blacks can't draw an audience overseas.
I think he is understating how well black talent can sell but at the same time it's not like black people aren't negatively stereotyped internationally either.

Netflix putting out more paper to produce their shows than nbc, fox, abc, etc. Those networks get funded with a budget and more paper from ads. I guess Netflix getting their $8+ directly from people equals more. Netflix really came up if you think bout it. Took out blockbuster, added streaming, make original shows and paying Hollywood stars to make exclusive movies or stand up specials.
