People don't understand how close we were to not being able to withdraw money from the ATM in 2008. Think about that for a second you not being able to get money, supermarkets get looted and it's all out mayhem.

We are upon the debt crisis student loan debt, car and home loan debt are the highest they've ever been and when that bubble pops it's gonna be serious. No matter if you are political or not the next President will be crucial to all of this

Depends.....cause that new car is better than buying an old car that breaks down every week and the mechanic charges over $200 per visit.
For the hundredth time, when buying a older car

Brand matters. I had a 03 Acura for two years was in the shop once for an emergency repair, rest of the Times was preventative maintenance

160k on a Chrysler- Midlife, on its way out the door

160k on a Lexus- just getting broke in

Start getting side hustles NOW for extra income.

I think this recession is going to hit badly b/c there is a perfect storm on the horizon.

We have climate environmental issues, heightened racial tensions, water wars, increased debt, high unemployment, few job prospects, conservatives have already made cuts to social welfare and gotten dumb people to co-sign it, a large population of untrained, jobless, disgruntled youth, and a pending superbug pandemic on the rise coupled with a healthcare system that our president fukked over millions with pre-existing conditions.

People are talking about having money saved but that does absolutely nothing when local and national government infrastructures that provide ur basic survival needs get fukked over. When truckers can’t afford gas so they can’t get food to restock shelves at ur grocery store. When public offices responsible for water purification have officials on furlough. When inflation hits and the money u saved is burned thru.

Saving isn’t enough. Lifestyle changes is what is needed.

1.) Work a second job
2) Learn to grow ur own food. In ur backyard, on ur porch, in potted plants if ur in an apartment.
3.) Learn to live sustainably and conserve energy and resources.
4.) GET ARMED. Crime will be spiking astronomically.
5.) Eliminate debt
6.) Downsize cars and houses. Bigger is not better.
7.) Learn trades
8.) Have visas and passports ready just in case.

It may get so bad that nothing helps but this can’t hurt.
Fear mongering bullshyt :mjlol:

Every thread like this and one of you clowns is preaching how it’ll be massive civil unrest, urban combat in the streets and a collapse of society as we know it :camby:

All of what I said is good practice anyway. U don’t have to wait on the sky to fall to live more sustainably.

If (and that’s a big if) one comes it won’t be anywhere near as catastrophic as 08. The left is creating doomsday scenarios to try and undermine the current president, it’s a power move
This is true, and clowns on here are saying how it’ll be urban warfare and no food

Before 08’ it was mini recessions almost every decade. 9 outta 10 this next one will be a bump in the road compared the 08’

Last time the authorities could react from a relative position of strength to 1. lower interest rates 2. purchase assets 3. increase (double almost) borrowing.
We are not in a position to do anything similar now.
In fact a number of nations are already running ZIRP/NIRP and that is BEFORE the bad times hit.
