Always seems like most coaches are just retreads who get fired and get a job fast at another spot.

Because they never hire the best candidates they only hire who they like or who looks like them. Tomlin been one of the most successful coaches the past decade but how many teams would of given him the chance in the league besides the Steelers?

I understand what the Rooney rule is there for, but for teams that truly are simply about to offer the job to one person, they should be allowed to do that instead of wasting the time of a black pawn.

If a team has one coach in mind, he interviews, and is hired then the Rooney Rule shouldn't apply. If they interview more than one candidate then one should be a minority.

What bothers me is Hue being up for the Browns and Dolphins but no mention of the Giants yet. I'd like to see a black candidate get a top flight job like Tomlin got with the Steelers and not be in a spot where he'll have a hard time winning and lasting.

No shyt.....We all know the same shyt happened in KC like 3 years ago. Andy Reid got fired on Monday morning and was hired on Friday. Clearly any black coach that was interviewed during that time had no shot and were only used as a puppet to fulfill a requirement.

Rooney Rule is just a flat out mockery to me. I would come in with the face if they chose me knowing I got no shot at the job.

Chiefs had Herm Edwards and Romeo Crennel as head coaches before. Most teams haven't even interviewed 2 Black coaches.

Had Andy Reid who rode with McSwagb as long as he could and then back doored that by giving Vick a 100 million dollar contract fresh off him having Lassie and Tin Tin compete in the hunger games...and I think 40 mil of that was guaranteed...

Not to derail the thread but it is to me how people been on Vick case talking about "he could start he selling himself short being a backup"...meanwhile in real life he already sitting on 10 of millions of dollars and can easily make a mil or more a year doing nothing...i am fully convinced he just purposely fukked up in pittsburgh when ben got hurt
