It was a boring draft with lack of star power so the minor dip makes sense

And 6 teams didnt even have a 1st round pick this year. Makes sense why it dipped.

I don't see the appeal of watching the draft in ANY sport. I just look up what team the notable college players went to or the players my team drafted online

Because of NIL and the way players bounce around, there's no build up. Most of these dudes been free agent-like college students for the past few years and non diehards don't really care to keep up with who is wherever especially when it's one year at this college then one year at this college then one year at this college. People not investing in that.

Damn near every black nfl fan was following last year cause a 5th round pick who had mad NIL money and was born with a diamond encrusted silver spoon in his mouth was getting drafted.

Yea some people like the sad/come up stories but my guess is that people tune in to see where the big names they’ve heard about all season go. Regardless of if it’s a millionaires kid or a Michael Oher.
