The good life 😎
Texas pumping out good Nigerian football talent, Florida doing the same thing with the Carribeans, but the Zoes are so advance with it they basically have their own little league/pop Warner dynasties in Florida, they’re developing their own talent vs. relying on schools to develop them.

Nigerian parents are starting to warm up to sports now they’re seeing more young boys with Nigerian names in these draft and getting these big contracts. But a lot still push their sons away from athletics.
Especially football. Even mentioning it will get some people looking at you like you've lost your mind. When I mentioned to I used to play in high school, the girls (some of them) in the town would look at me like I was crazy for even trying. :mjlol:

It’s the brain damage, Will Smith accent was funny in concussion, but African parents been saying football causes brain damage since the 90s.

Then the sheer amount of competition and injuries, they’re gonna weigh the odds and be like nope, go be an engineer, that’s a safer bet.

Indeed. They see it as very barbarous too. I don't fault them honestly because in many ways they are right. If I had a kid, I wouldn't let him play. Tell him to take up golf, get good, and get paid for wearing a nike hat. :pachaha:

Didn't know Nigerians were the majority of foreigners, I was under the impression that the majority would be Samoans/Tongans.

The parents relent not because of NFL dreams, but because their children can get D1 scholarships to college.
To go become an engineer. And graduate debt free.

Interesting.
I still think Polynesian heritage players would account for a larger number, but the guidelines for this list is cut off at one of your grandparents being born outside of continental USA.
4th generation Polynesian American, and Hawaiian born/descent players wouldn't make the list.

South Florida has a LOT of people who are of Bahamian descent, from well over a hundred years ago, so I'm sure some NFL players with that heritage wouldn't qualify for the list either.
