He has like 800 albums out. He's not cutting himself off at all. He's just superprotective of how his art is used. It's not worth it to him.

this. they have old school thinking not realizing that 1. they aren't losing any money off of this and 2. social media is huge free promotion

good points but I think it may have to do with setting a precedent. When you start letting some use your material what's to stop others. Doesn't help they don't fukk with deadspin anyway

In regards to prince what you are saying is true & Artists/Labels know it.

It's the Reason Prince catalog is really only streamable on Tidal. Same way the chronic is only on Apple
