It was better than Barry's by a long shot, they went to pro bowls for a reason. He had a hall of fame receiver and qb, and All Pro TE, FB, 2 guards, tackle, and center.

Barry only had one other offensive player to be considered All Pro while he was a Lion and that was Herman Moore.

Thurman Thomas had the same talent around him and didn't get close to Emmitt accomplishment.

Even in the same franchise. Tony Dorsett had a better O-Line than Emmitt, with the same type of talent and he couldn't accomplish what Emmitt did. People hate on Emmitt because most people hate the Cowboys.

No Team wanted these guys until Emmitt made them look good. Even to this day, Nate Newton always say that Emmitt made him a Pro Bowler.

Nate Newton - undrafted free agent.
Mark Tuinei - undrafted free agent.
Erik Williams - late round draft pick.

Let also talk about how Troy Aikman and Michael Irving looked like shyt before Emmitt was drafted.

Jerry was about to trade Michael and the fans wanted to bench Troy.

NAME THEM.

Who cares about where these guys were drafted. Eric Williams was on his way to being he best LT in league history until that car accident. He used to toy around with Reggie White and would headbutt him into the turf. Who gives a damn where he was drafted. Emmit's line was stacked. With that being said, Emmit was the best decision maker at RB next to Marcus Allen. I used to study him and Marcus trying to figure out how they figured their way out of situations.

This aint about Thurman Thomas or Tony Dorsett, its about Barry Sanders.

Draft position doesnt mean anything. Michael Irvin played 2 years before Emmitt arrived and in 1 he was hurt. Aikman only played 1.

Im not hating on Emmitt, im just saying he wasnt as good as Barry. That doesnt mean Emmitt was trash.

And the fakits go silent. Lol at me bringing up Barry rushing for -1 yards in a playoff game having to do with emmitts line. You dumbass bish. YOU want to make that case. I'm telling you Barry came up small when he was needed most.

If a RB doesnt get back to the line of scrimmage thats on the line. That means he is getting hit in the backfield.

Fact of the matter is Emmitt had 4 All-Pro linemen, a fullback, and TE blocking for him. Barry never had anyone of that calibur. YOU DONT THINK ANY OF THAT MAKES A DIFFERENCE?

Walter Payton has one 100 yard rushing game in the playoffs and average 3.5 ypc for his career.
Marshall Faulk has one 100 yard rushing game in the playoffs and averaged 3.6 ypg for his career.

PLEASE LEAVE THE BASKETBALL ONE GAME MENTALITY OUT OF FOOTBALL CONVERSATIONS AT THE RB POSITION!! ITS DUMB!!!!

I will never ever forgive Al Davis' corpse for doing Marcus dirty like he did. I'm convinced that the Bo Jackson "freak injury" was karma for Al... what a crying shame Bo was the instrument.

I will forever admire Marcus Allen for his years of service albeit brief. As sacrilege it is to say, I internally rooted for Marcus Allen while he was a Chief. :what:

Altho Al could not find it in his heart to reconcile with Marcus, Marcus proved he was the bigger man when he lit the Al Davis Memorial Torch at the Raiders 2nd home game of the season.

I just finished watching this :wow:

I am so happy I got to watch him play in his prime. :ohlawd:

The Lions are such a pathetic franchise. They havent won a playoff game since 1991, and didnt win one before that since 1958. :scusthov:

Barry deserved better.

He would have set the NFL single game record were it not for Ross going with that i formation.
