I'm not Native American and even i can see how inappropriate this is. The team shouldn't be named "Redskins" its even further inappropriate when you hear the story of how the team got the name. all these Native American themed teams with that logo should be changed in my opinion. these shyts are from an era where nobody gave a fukk about racially charged stuff against minorities.Aren't you the same person who complains about the world being "too PC" and too easily offended? So why do you now all of a sudden care about this "outrage" over a team name? Especially when a bunch of white politicians all of a sudden want to start caring about minorities especially a group of minorities that white people disenfranchised to a severe degree? And when polls show that this isn't a major issue?
What sense would it make to name a publicly traded sports team after a "racial slur"? Especially when a Native American high school uses the same name?
This isn't even about being politically correct its about having tact. some guy has a football team called the Braves and there's a baseball team also called the Braves so they can't have two teams in the same arena with the same name so the football Braves become the "Redskins" so they can keep the same logo but be different. back then nobody really gave a shyt so it stayed and now in a much more civilized era they still have that name and the powers that be say it should stay due to tradition. well guess what there was a point in American history where slavery was tradition. something being so doesn't make it right or appropriate.
Apparently them being sued by actual Native Americans that find offense with the name isn't enough for you to say its inappropriate because the general public most of which aren't native american don't really care.
disgusting

you're outta your depth here junior
