This basically prove the b*stard Goodell is nothing more than a yes man for the owners. Between this and Irsay dilemma, he protecting his boys to the bitter end. Grow some balls nikka.

a word being widely accepted for a long time doesn't stop it from a slur, that is fairly terrible logic on the NFL's part

"intended"

I always laugh when they sneak little side step words to give themselves a way to backpedal. I'm glad Katz pushed him into a corner.

Honestly I'm tired of all these conflicting articles about the issue. Let the Native Americans handle this situation.
:mjlol: how? are you being sarcastic?

what power do they have?? they dont own the team

the dude who owns the fukking team, who sues people for being anti-semitic at the drop of a hat, who is the proprietor of a team founded by a violently bigoted man, needs to shut the fukk up and just change the goddamn name

And you think they would rather have some white politicians and fake white liberals fight for them? :usure:
i wont speak for them because i'm not of them (<---that sentence sums up the whole argument btw), but i'd bet they'd want people in power to advocate for them. because they have very little social or political influence, which is MOST OF THE PROBLEM. their likeness and a controversial word within their community is co-opted by those outside of it and they've been powerless to stop it.

stop distracting from the issue. it's a stupid fukking name and it needs to be changed, regardless of how it happens.

Do you really think they have any trust for white people after all the things they've dealt with? And these politicians writing letters aren't really going to do anything. Even the Native Americans know that.
