The ironic thing is that the NFL's popularity hurts players from getting more money. The teams aren't dependent on a star player to draw so theres no desperation to overpay players.

Seahawks popularity is based off their success and 3 stars. Wilson the face, Sherman the mouth, and Lynch the mute. Hawks are the hottest team in the league and these three contribute. GREATLY.

NFLPA is terrible but so are the players. They don't have any discipline. MLB players went on strike and cancelled an entire season. That's why they have those guaranteed contracts today.

Meanwhile the average NFL player can't survive a 2 month lockout because he's living paycheck to paycheck.

The NFL just has an awful players union to be frank.

The NFL sucks cuz of non guaranteed contracts despite the most being the most physically strenuous and dangerous.

again your tying into a masters etc. the average college football has their degree, the average nba player leaves school after one or two years, the average mlb player does not go to college at all.
