the anthem thing is really a talking point angry cacs are gonna run with. aint nobody paying attention to the anthem on a televised game, let alone able to see who is sitting or standing. the rest of the reasons i give credence to, happy to see 1/3 of respondents have a high enough football IQ to see how the play of the game has declined.

I forgot about Cam in my previous post

The players you named have a head start but you have to be good and do some winning

RG3 was a star his rookie season but he didn't hold up his end of the bargain...same with Tebow

You also have to note the fact that how the running back position has evolved it's rare you are creating stars from there when a lot of them came from that position in the past
Yeah thats kind of my point. They didn't do shyt in the NFL but still have more name recognition than say...Julio Jones, one of the to p3 recievers in the league based on what they did in College 5+ years ago. The death of Running Backs is a good point.

You can't just make stars the player has to be great first and the NFL has a real lack of great players

Whats the difference between good and great?

Looking through this list, there are plenty of good players in the Top 20. They just aren't connecting with fans like that.

What's the difference between good and great? Umm great is better then just good lol

There's plenty of players ok or good to be a legit star/great player you have to stand out amongst other players

I know that but how do we define greatness? Julio Jones for example, he's great but he doesn't really stand out. What is he missing? Is it just wins?

So what's hurting the English Premiere League ratings, because they're going down as well?
People are cutting the cord in general.

NFL has a multitude of problems, they should feel lucky the ratings are just down 11%. And IMO none of it has to with the "Anthem Controversy", in fact I think that brings in more people attention.

He's great and I think he's a pretty big name but there's not enough of him out there. Also he's not a qb which is the face of teams

there's positions like rb that have no iconic players anymore

Or defense. Where are all the characters and great players in defense?

You got Watt Miller and that's about it
