The dude was about to retire and all. Such job security. Be a journeyman and still have a job for life. Not a bad gig. :obama:

With teams desperate for QBs, Jason Campbell is still getting calls

According to Peter Schrager of FOX Sports, “at least three teams have inquired” about former first-rounder Jason Campbell.

He hasn’t taken any of those jobs because the “situations weren’t right,” but it’s still amazing he’s getting calls.

Campbell planned on retiring in June, but there’s no use not answering the phone if it rings. Given the current state of quarterback play in some precincts, it probably will again, and the situation might be better next time.

And you could make a reasonable case that he’s been more acceptable more recently than some of the other guys getting jobs, so it makes some sense.

yes my brother, yes.

Black QBs get pushed out the league, FAST, if they are not above average. Not allowed to have long and mediocre careers, and carry clipboards. Jason Campbell has shown them the way. Carry that clipboard with purpose. Wear that headset with conviction. You will spend 10-15 years in the league. Josh Freeman is next. This is a wonderful day. :wow:

Campbell was done DIRTY. If only he could stay healthy.
Do you mean when he first came into the league with the redskins?

Coach gibbs reached and got him in the first round but when he was at Auburn he had cadallac williams & ronnie brown. In wsh he had clinton portis. The problem was the redskins were not a good team & needed a QB to be a SUPERSTAR & even at auburn jason was a game manager. He lost his confidence and never got it back & couldn't become what the fans & organization wanted him to be. He also had a pretty good year a couple of seasons ago with the browns.
