Corny, but it's only right. If defenders can't do that shyt why can offense?

defenders can do it as long as theyre not spearing themselves OR do it on a receiver. its perfectly fine to lead with a helmet on a runner.

lowering your shyt is natural both on offense and defense (protecting yourself, getting momentum and being harder to tackle on offense/not getting run over on defense), and its physics first and foremost...

whats funny is that running upright will only result in more injuries, just like emmitt said. rbs will get their neck pushed back.

Yeah its instinct but its also wrong

JV Football the first thing they tell you not to do is lower your head. Cuz 1. You can't see anything when your eyes are down 2. Thats a cool way to get paralyzed

They also tell you to wrap up when you tackle and NFL players ignore that too. NFL players don't really give a shyt about form and technique...

You just don't understand how the game works in real life bruh :snoop:
A defende can't always simply "wrap up." Technique goes out the windonw when u have a 5ft8 185 runnin back tryin to tacke RB steven Jackson at full speed. U think they can just "wrap up?" You think DBs & safeties can wrap up when a reciever comes across the middle on a quik slant? :mindblown: Have u ever played real tackle football? :mindblown:

It will be a fuccin tragedy if they start callin THAT a penalty! The commissioner is ruining the game of football. The only reason why Godell is trying to implement all these new safety rules is because of all these lawsuits that former players are filing. The league is trying to cover their azzes.

Fines, suspensions and penalties will not stop big time hits. It is the nature of the game to be violent.

Imagine a RB making a great play like a Marshawn Lynch type run, breaking 4-5 tackles, then lowering his head to finish it off for a 30 yard gain.......then having it called back completely, or partially. :beli::snoop:

So he ran 30 yards successfully but the only way to finish off the run is to lower his head?

See the thing is I don't want to see football go wimpy either, but to be honest we've been getting away with risky play in football for a hunnid years now. That same play you posted, could have in that same second turned into, a jammed neck, or a concussion, or paralyzation.

You are not supposed to hit with the crown of your head. Even with a helmet on you would not lower your head into a brick wall runnin 2 mph...these dudes are running way faster, and full on battering ram themselves into players. Nothin wrong with lowering your shoulder.

I'm thinking this rule is a result of Pollard's hit in the AFC Championship on Ridley where Ridley was leading with his head.

Love this video.

For the longest time I didn't pay attention to the commentary, but it is Jim Brown lmao

"Watch Out!!! Watch Out!!! Beautiful!!!" lmao

"The rams are still thinking they're playing Tony Dorsett." Jim didn't give a damn, he spoke out against many running backs running style. :dead:

Original classic Payton run would be called back as well...
