Technique goes out the windonw when u have a 5ft8 185 runnin back tryin to tacke RB steven Jackson at full speed.

to be fair...thats when you need technique the most. you go for steven jackson legs and hope you can wrap them up and bring him down.

you cant just get a shoulder hit on dude cuz you'll bounce off him like a bball :pachaha:

In theory, that's how u want to tackle , but that's not a reality. Safeties and DBs are flyin so fast to stop ball carriers that their momentum will only allow a big hit. You don't have time to break down and wrap up. Its damn near impossible.

And when it comes to seperating the reciever from the ball, wrapping up isn't an option

You don't have to break down to wrap up. Just gotta have your shoulder in the right place and get your arms outside of ball carriers body. And you can still make a big hit.
This is a perfect form tackle

Which is the main reason why you supposed to use your arms AND shoulders to make a hit. And never the top of your head. :troll:

But I'm done. :salute:

:mindblown: are u not reading correctly. I'm not condoning using the crown of your head to make tackles. But wrapping up is not the only option u have to get a defender down. You obviously don't know the intricacies of football andhow its played. Its all good tho bruh

Why cant they just alter the helmets in some way to make them do less damage at contact??

There is a new helmet created by Bill Simpson, a racing equipment guy, but its more expensive than a regular helmet and there hasn't been a full independent study of it.
Racing innovator Bill Simpson tackles football concussions with new helmet - Autoweek

Bill Simpson was a long time finding the National Football League, but it finding him might change football.
The former California drag racer, Indianapolis 500 driver and motorsports safety innovator has created a football helmet that he and others believe could revolutionize the sport. Simpson knows this because he knows what he's talking about when it comes to making safer helmets. Researchers believe it because they have seen data charts.
“Most helmets succeed at distributing force over a large area, but [Simpon's helmets] actually absorb the energy and dissipate the force more effectively,” said Eric Nauman, an associate professor of mechanical engineering at Purdue University. “The results are impressive.”
