So what superstar (top flight) TEs NE had prior to Gronk and Hernandez? The small, quick receivers started with Welker, who the dolphins let go, that's like 2007. Not sure. So what did they do before then?
A luxury to go across the middle? All 32 teams can. Doesn't sound like a fancy system nor does it predate Brady. Bledsoe was in the system, right?

And for the most part, defenses across the board looked pretty much like garbage .
Decent week 1... nothing more, nothing less .

Falcons still are a trash organization.
I mean it's been like ten years of crappy defense
aside from 2013. Even the year they won the superbowl the defense wasn't good, they just got an insane amount of turnovers especially in big moments.At some point how long can you blame coordinators and players? The defenses 3 of the last 4 years have been historically bad.
Yeah the same Houston team that had a bad SEASON OPENING HALF, went to the locker room, settled down after trying to do too much, and shut out a terrible Bears team
The same Houston that struggled with a terrible Chicago team? Jax has shown progression every year since Bortless been the QB. They were on GB's ass yesterday

Defense is gonna be solid and we have some playmakers. Just too young to compete this season
Texans have a very well rounded squad. Remains to be seen on Brock and the oline, but good running attack, great playmakers at WR. An amazing pass rush, and a very capable secodary. I don't know what's not to like with Houston, I expect them in the playoffs

Where did this notion that the Jags are actually going to be competitive this year come from? Not shyt that they have done in the last 3 years has resulted in more than 3 wins per season for the last like 6 years
Just because they drafted a couple hobbly kneed defensemen high doesnt mean they are about shyt in this league. Greenbay was probably doing what most teams do in their first game, try to do too much shyt at the same time...
