The NFL confirms how bullshyt their rules are and how they have rules just to have them. It's "you have to wear a certain color shoe for uniform purposes and to help the refs blah blah integrity, protect the shield, blah.
But then it's "hold on let's let players wear whatever color shoe they want if they put some charitable cause on it so we look like we care about shyt other than a dollar. This will be great PR and make sure the networks mention it as much as possible."
