Remember when they tried to even bring up the notion of a "players need haircuts" rule?

I remember that well. They wanted it both as a safety issue after Polamalu got dragged down by the hair, and a uniform issue, saying TP and the guys with locks were obscuring the names on their backs.

this is window dressing for the public- teams already check for this type of stuff

sure :rudy:

heh heh

indeed

teams like the NE Patriots aint give a shyt about "this type of stuff" when they hired a few bloods, mostly crips, some vicelords, a sociopath, and 2 slytherin. They keep paying guys based on FOOTBALL ABILITY and not based on tatts (or lack thereof). Imagine that. O_e

yes within the hours and hours of draft interviews, teams arent looking for gang affiliations. cmon.

Teams know this stuff. Very rarely are you drafting an unknown. The Pats are one of those teams that have gotten desperate to win another SB before Brady retires and were contempt with ignoring these obvious issues with Hernandez. It ended up biting them in the ass.

Why wouldnt a team check into tats if they have information he's been involved with gangs? Wouldnt a follow up question be to the potential draftee "can you please explain this tattoo and its meaning"

Do some research on the draft interview process and how much time goes into it. Every question gets asked.

If he's been involved with gangs, his tattoos still wouldn't mean shyt.....it's not like prison, where some shyt like a little as a tattoo can be enough to put somebodys life in danger.

a tattoo isn't gonna strike some red flag :scheme: like a criminal past, or multiple family members being known/active gang members would..

:ld: " Oh, we already have crips in our organization, your NHP tattoo is gonna cause some conflicts...we're gonna pass on you"

DeAnthony Thomas could have a Mariners logo, "NH"/Crenshaw/Slauson/60's tattoo's all over him.....throwing up two fingers and a thumb in a photo with Nipsey Hussle...and if asked if he was in or affiliated with a gang, he could say no...and there wouldn't be shyt they could do about it.

This is just some bullshyt ass attempt to do damage control and maintain the integrity of the game or whatever the fukk Goodell says.

Already said this is a CYA for the league to bring this public....but if you think teams arent already asking these questions, or already know what these guys have gotten into prior to them interviewing them...teams will use anything they can to make a proper decision on if they want to draft the player or not.
