there is no such thing as "can't cover" in football. there is "hard to cover" and that can be dealt with

phins pass rush is actually quite good, cam wake is a beast and dion jordan is a future star

shyt even browns defense can actually give denver some resistance.

as far as offenses, none of these teams offenses look terribly good now, but things can and will change, plus in playoffs its a different game all the time.

we've been through this before. dont get too caught up with the offense-heavy teams hype. especially since they havent beaten anyone good yet, and especially with an elder manning in the playoffs.
To be more specific, I meant you can't cover them without getting heavy pressure on Manning and creating turnovers. If you're not hitting him and getting a turnover or two, nah, you're not stopping them with coverage. fukk no. Not in the post-05 rule change league. There's been a few offenses like that. The Patriots wouldn't have beaten the 01 Rams if they weren't able to manhandle their receivers like that.

You talking about the same Knowshon that couldn't start over a 32 year old, one knee running back in McGahee last year? That same Moreno that many consider a bust? :ld:

C'mon son. :camby:

Yep. The same one that figured out that the only reason Willis played over his ass was because he had to know how and where to block. Don't act like it was talent keeping him on the sideline. It's the same issue with Montee Ball. If Peyton don't trust you then you ain't playing.

:beli: Is a genius that cares about people

Tony Gonzalez, arguably the best pass catching tight end ever is a sad story of a lot of work with no payout.

Brady is the best quarterback in the league.

The Patriots are a better team when Dobson is off the field

The Patriots will probably beat the Saints, friends. Especially when you consider how Tampa gave the Saints problems but didnt give the Pats problems.

If you dont play the patriots like its the superbowl, you will lose because they play for 4 quarters, not 2.

THIS IS OUR YEAR, friends.
if wilfork is out, i dont see it bro

A league source tells the Boston Globe that Patriots NT Vince Wilfork has been diagnosed with a torn Achilles' tendon.

If true, it means Wilfork's season is over, and that the Patriots have a gaping hole on the front line of their defense. Wilfork went down in the first quarter of Sunday night's win, and did not return. Wilfork has missed just six games in 10 NFL seasons, and zero since 2009. Joe Vellano and Chris Jones are next up on the depth chart, but the Pats will likely be in the market for help.

:beli: gonna head down to the inner city, find a big man whos been playing football in a prison yard and fill that hole, REAL quick. Do not doubt the Pats ability to pick talent.

There is no replacing Vince Wilfork. There's no player quite like him in the NFL, much less on New England's roster. You can't just find 350-pound run stoppers "on the street" who take up multiple blockers.

Wilfork's loss to a torn Achilles, as reported by NFL Media's Albert Breer, is especially damaging because the Patriotsdon't have a true backup on their roster. They are thinner at the position than any time since Wilfork was drafted in 2004.

Free-agent pickup Tommy Kelly has been a find, but he has a different skill set than Wilfork. He already was starting. After that, the Patriots have undrafted rookie Joe Vellano, and Chris Jones, a sixth-round pick of Houston this year who was claimed off waivers. That's it.

Patriots coach Bill Belichick is good at adapting. Belichick values versatility above all else. He could ask Chandler Jones to move inside to defensive tackle, like the Patriotsdid during Sunday's 30-23 win over the Atlanta Falcons. That would hurt New England's pass rush. The team also has CFL import Armond Armstead on the reserve/non-football injury list. He can return to practice after Week 6.

Wilfork, a five-time Pro Bowl selection and likely future Hall of Fame candidate, was the rock of thisPatriots defense. That's the bad news. The positive spin is that this 2013 Patriots defense is better than any unit Belichick has coached in at least the past five years. :whoo:

Wilfork was struggling through the worst start to a season of his career before tearing his Achilles, and the Patriots still are 4-0 with the sixth-ranked scoring defense in the league. NBC's Cris Collinsworth hinted that Wilfork previously was struggling with a foot issue. The Patriots primarily use a four-man defensive line, which makes finding a true nose tackle to replace Wilfork less important.

No team is better at adapting than the Patriots. They hope to get Rob Gronkowski and Danny Amendola back on offense, and they hope their defensive core of Jones, Aqib Talib, Brandon Spikes, Jerod Mayo, Devin McCourty, Dont'a Hightower and Rob Ninkovich can carry them.

Wilfork's injury once again hammers home that this is a very different Patriots team. The only three constants in New England: Belichick, Tom Brady and change.

You cant get attached to the soldiers friend. They fight hard and they fall. Theres always a better man around the corner. :beli: will find that man.

In my opinion that'll be their downfall. Will they be battle tested enough come playoff time? They have one of the easiest schedules in the league this year and we all know how sawft Manning-led offenses are. Once they face real defenses in the 'offs, they'll probably fold, specifically Manning.
I can see where you coming from with that.

AJ Green is being wasted :smh:
AJ is eating with Dalton, they're just not gonna go too far. Plus he'll be 27 when he's up for FA, he'll have time to salvage his career should cincy not be the answer. But Andre and Fitz are a wrap (not that I'm crying for Fitz, dude chose the money)
