NFL What Have We Learned - Wild Card Edition

There was a year recently where there were like 5 game 7s in the first round.

Even in the NBA recently we've seen competitive first rounds outside of the top seeds. Even the Mavs stole a game against OKC last year.

That 1 year is anomaly. Usually the NBA 1st round is a waste of everyone's time. Just go back and look at it.

And its by design becauaes the NBA is the only league dumb enough to play 82 games and then let more than half the teams in playoffs.

Chiefs are a scarier team and of course the Pats. Could even mention the Cowboys.

Going into the Browns game, the Steelers were the only team to have Offense, Defense, and Special Teams all ranked in the top 10 in the league. We sat offensive and defensive starters against the browns and defense fell all the way to 11th.

I wouldn't mind them going back to best of 5 but that does reward randomness (that could be good or bad) and in a 3 point shooting league you would see more upsets.

Either shorten the regular season or shorten the number of teams in the playoffs.

The way it is now both are completely devalued

This feels the same as the last few years, but it doesn't.

It feels the same in that we're in the 2nd round of the playoffs, and Rodgers is playing out of his mind.

It feels different in that we aren't the favorite, and given the injuries all over the team in the secondary and LBs we really shouldn't have a chance.

I like this feeling better

All away WC teams got blown out.

I can understand Raiders situation....Carr can contend for MVP. Oakland's receivers should've stepped up more.

Wondering how much will Texans lose by next week. Will it be a close game, blow out or shut out? Hard to say....Texans D may step up but I got Brady and Beli over Oz and O'B.

Detroit should've preformed better, especially with all the accolades Stafford gets. He needs a running game just like every other QB in league. Even Brady got Blount and White. Hell even the Pack put C Mike out today. Not sure about Zenner even tho they hype him so much it's starting to get to me.

Dolphins played terribly today. Steelers O and D preformed today, even with Big Ben's 2 picks he threw. Steelers started out throwing with Brown burnin niqqaz then Bell ran on them. They can compete with Pats and Chiefs if they stay like this.

Giants....D started out good. Too many drops by the Yacht Club
and ARod just went off and that expensive Giants D gave up. Should've made better attempt to defend hail mary. Eli overthrows but media ain't gonna point that out at all.

The weekend taught me more about the losers than winners. Stanford hurt his hand & Detroit's offense was not the same. ODB makes the catches he is not suppose to make but drops the ones he is suppose to make. Miami & Oakland caught bad breaks literally.
