Hockey is a sport where if you are even giving it 80%, your ass is on the bench, and you're not throwing games and still being your teams leading scorer.

I'm going based on what she said. It's not playing semantics. You're the one not taking her claims at face value. If she said he was betting, that is one thing, but "throwing games" is a completely different scenario, and doesn't work in hockey unless you are a goalie.

This isn't basketball where if you bet that you would score under 30 points that you could just shoot like trash that night or pass the ball. If a puck reached you in the slot, you're not just sitting there and getting rocked. Hockey betting is entirely different than NBA.
