Do levels just not matter late game? I'm like twenty levels behind the mission level.

I noticed the same thing, but I still wreck the enemies so I don't even feel compelled to farm
Also, what's the best way to get your Samurai Hair for skill points? I've put them all into my Kasurigama so far, but I'm feeling this Spear... and I want to start venturing into other weapons now that I got the trophy for maxing out your proficiency on your starting weapon.

I'm level 10 on the first board. Just got to the second check point. I feel over-leveled but I'm still getting clapped.

This boss ended up being one of the easiest in the game. Weakness talisman plus fire living weapon to his face melts half of his health. Still a really lame fight.
