Ohio State defensive end Nick Bosa has taken the “skip-the-bowl-game” thing to the next level.

According to Tim May of the Columbus Dispatch, Bosa has decided to not return to the Buckeyes this season, and will instead focus on preparing for the NFL Draft.

Bosa siffered a core muscle injury on Sept. 15 and had surgery, and has apparently chosen to not push himself to return to his college team for any more games. He was a preseason All-American, and will likely be a top-tier pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, assuming there are no medical questions lingering.

He has already met with coach Urban Meyer and informed him of the decision. He’s scheduled to meet with Dr. William Meyers for a follow-up visit in November, but could have ostensibly returned to play in postseason games.

While some will use it as an excuse to rip Bosa for his lack of commitment to the program, he is making a greater commitment to his own future, rather than risk it for the glorification and enrichment of a system which treats him like an unpaid intern.

This is the wave of the future. I just wonder if he will get less backlash than a black player doing it.

TYRONE GA!
So now it is going from not playing in the bowl game to not playing the rest of the season if you are a future high draft pick and injured in your last season. Might be the new normal too.

Got ZERO issue with it too. Let's see the narrative since he's not a nikka. :mjpls:

You already know, posted a link to 11w in the cfb thread, the same cacs in there calling Denzel Ward a p*ssy for sitting out the bowl game last year, see nothing wrong with Bosa sitting out.

OSU have depth on the D Line so they should be good. Just some of the young bucks have to step up now.
I wish him well and in no way judge him for doing what he feels is right for his fam.

We are deep, but missing someone like him on the D line could be the difference between a championship or a loss in the playoffs/big game.

His sack in the end zone against TCU That became a touchdown kept us in that game.
He’s unguardable

Young guys gotta step up.

His body is his commodity and his future career that will land him financial stability for the rest of his life.

I ain't bout to risk that so a college that has no compunctions about chewing me up and spitting me out to the next guy up if I get hurt and left with nothing.

Secure the bag young man.

pretty soon after highschool nikkas gonna sit out 3 years and wait for the draft.

Just make 18 year old eligible for the draft and if they don't get drafted they can go to college and play football or go elsewhere. I don't get what's so hard about this. No one is forcing nfl GMs to draft these guys
