Westside had a interview on HOT 97 but that was in 2017.
They should be on every station in NYC & upstate. Out of town rappers are on NY radio every day, but NY radio isn't supporting their own. One of the only popular groups in NY with a traditional NY sound can't even get play on NY radio. That's crazy.

I'm guessing the record label ain't doing what they supposed to be doing promoting them.

Freddie Foxx showed up. Some guy from South Central Cartel or some shyt. A handful of random ass people.

And I wouldn't even say Sticky got washed. If I remember correctly the judges were one vote from it being a tie.

Cats just expected Sticky to blow him out because he was a "street rapper" and when he didn't people acted like he got knocked out.

Which is why rappers don't fight. The ones that don't rely on a tough guy image don't have to and the ones with a tough guy image already have the fans fooled. So there's nothing to gain from a fight. If you lose all that tough talk is over with.

That typical boom bap traditional NY sound of outdated. It's the same reason why G-Unit, D-Block, and Dipset fell off. They didn't conform to the new trap 808 sound until it was too late. They need to stop being stubborn and choose modern day beats if they want to be relevant.

I don't think Griselda gives a fukk about being mainstream or "relevant" to the type of fans you're talking about.

If they did they would've never came out sounding like it's 1996.

Griselda is relevant, as are Beast Coast, Joey Bada$$, Dave East, Flatbush Zombies, Stro, and others. Their buzz is crazy right now.
Reread what I wrote, though. Trap, drill, and all of that other bs are not the traditional NY sound. The reason that the groups that I named are popular is because they sound like NYC. It's the same reason that Jada, Styles P, De La Soul & Nas are still popular. That NY sound is the reason why Gang Starr's album is being considered one of 2019's best.
NY needs to give trap music back to the south, and drill back to the midwest. Troy Ave was right, NY needs to restore the feeling.
