Beginning of the end for Bama.
These HS 5 stars are all intertwined, so all it takes is a few top guys to ‘divest’ for whatever reason, and it starts a ripple/snowball effect. Ask FSU, ask the U, ask Florida, ask Notre Dame, ask USC.
Bama’s dynasty is unique in that they got so many chips, but longevity wise it actually hadn’t been “that” long, so it would not be crazy for them to start to falling off right about now.
Saban/Bama’s elite run started in 2008. 14 years. Bobby Bowden run at FSU was about 13 years 87-00. Florida off and on w/spurrier and urban was about 16 years. The U had it 20 years 83-03. So it is not crazy at all to think the house is about to crumble.
All signs point to the next few years: this A&M class, Georgia, NIL evening thr playing field, spread offenses making Bama’s defense less of a factor and making them more reliant on an elite QB, and Texas and OU coming to the SEC in 2025. And now this fiasco may expedite it even quicker. Black folk love Deion and Deion is a talker. He could play this up and really connect with the future 5 stars, have Saban looking like a plantation owner
