I just wonder how much research in general people do when they take other vaccines, antibiotics, antihistamines, etc...

I truly do... all of a sudden everybody wants to go to medical school. I wonder even if they do the ‘research’, how many would even understand the what’s being printed.

To this day this logic cannot be beat.

Anti vaxxers go to the doctor every other year and blindly take whatever their doctor prescribes to help them without doing any research whatsoever. They have a problem, they want it solved, so they trust their professional expertise and nothing more. The drug could have literally just been approved earlier that year, and they wouldnt know or care.

For every tested and valid medical theraputic solution you could perform "research" and find a horror story in the internet of someone who took it and fainted, went blind or they dikk went permanently soft forever or whatever the hell. They wouldnt know, wouldnt care,

But now... NOW they all a sudden "need more research" The person who had her body cut open to have silicon disks stuffed beneath her skin because it looked fly. "Needs more research" over a damn vaccine that has been engineered to reduce the spread and lethality of a highly contagious life-threatening illness thats literally everywhere.

How does one without a scientific background, I.e., the vast majority of Americans, conduct research on something as specialized and technical as vaccine development?

Asking questions to specialists on the internet (I did that one for several I had)

Reading vulgarization literature

Reading documents from institutions involved destined to the public

All easy actions that constitute the gist of "doing your own research" and make perfect sense whenever an individual is confronted to uncertainty.

The jokes in the thread are funny, but I don't think Nicki Minaj meant she was about to perform a comprehensive study of scientific papers released about the vaccine. I certainly didn't. People who say "do your own research" usually just mean "learn more about the topic from different sources".
