if you dont believe in god, then id say pass on it bc you will get bored.
but if you read it with an open mind, it will help you read the quran, and the old and new testament of the bible.
but stay away frm the king james version of the bible.
look for a hebrew/greek translation. and dont take everything both books say as literal truth. its cryptic and you yourself have to figure it out.
for instance, noah only took 120 days to make his ark. and it didnt flood the world.
also, adam and eve werent the only people made at first. they were the first to know and realize GOD.

I dont like the KJV version. he omitted a bunch of gospels and changed some key words around. thats why some read it and think its literally saying Jesus is GOD.
Ive read the hebrew to greek to english translation and i like that better than the king james translation.

I get your point, but wasn't it the Catholic church that omitted some of the Gospels (and some books from the OT) and changed the words. I'm not 100% sure, but King James had little to do with the Bible aside from sanctioning the translation. Under his permission there were like 600-700 scribes who translated the Bible from it's original form into what is known as KJV. They did omit some things (well, actually the most important thing), which was omitting the name of God. They replaced it with what is commonly known as Jehovah. They claim that it was too holy to be written or spoken as the reason for the omission. At some point, the Catholic church omitted books that were deemed non-canonical or books whose authorship was in question.

Also the notion that Jesus is God isn't necessarily derived from people reading the KJV and taking it literal. When Jesus walked the earth, the Pharisees thought that he made himself equal to God by him saying he's the Son of God. That's why they accused him of blasphemy.
