Writing your own lyrics & having your own flow is not within “hip hop purist” territory. Hip hop purist is more about content, IMO. The aforementioned are simply the BASICS of the craft & Cardi fails to even do that.

I am personally glad that Nicki explored the Pop arena, given how black people responded to that borrowed diss track from Remy’s jealous a$$. The fact that Remy allowed herself to be used to drag a black rapper down, only to be replaced by a non black & non talented artist is some straight sellout ish, but people rarely discuss that.

And Cardi is a pure rat. She calls dead black children roaches. She allegedly sends grown MEN to fight stripper chicks for entertaining her trash husband. She treats people behind the scenes (MUA) like they are beneath her. She throws shoes at red carpet events. He behavior is literally DEPLORABLE.



My point is that if people can accept a trash, untalented bird like Cardi, then they can accept Nicki. This is literally expecting a black woman to behave better than her non black counterparts, whom is hugely supported. The hypocrisy is not okay.

Why shouldn’t Nicki be angry though?

1. Most rappers disregarded Nicki when she was one in a handful that wrote her own rhymes. Then they expected her to put them on.
2. She’s been boycotted by labels & radio station...Envy publically admitted doing so.
3. She has female rappers stating that she tried to “stop their bag” with no receipt in sight.
4. She is being dethroned by a non black female karaoke/rapper who doesn’t write, bite flows & openly disrespects the craft by admitting that she only here for the money, not the craft.
5. A lot of people had bad attitudes (Fraudi B) yet they are not demonized like Nicki.

I have no dog in this fight, but to say that Nicki is angry, with no regards to how we got there, is dishonest.

And rightfully so cardi clearly makes far better music. With bonus point of critical acclaim.
