It was a sign of the times in hip hop...that’s how bad things were in the grand scheme.

For example - Jay Z had dropped a mediocre BP3 and terrible feature verses all over the place at that time...Andre 3000 was gone...Nas was on a bit of a hiatus...everybody really thought Detox was coming...T.I. was in and out of jail....50 Cent’s career was going downward, etc.

Lil Wayne was the king of a very weak era in hip hop.

Sounds like someone opinion who was looking for old heads to still carry hip hop when a new generation had already taken over

That's verse was a fire verse he stayed on topic most don't do that anymore and he said what monsters really feel. The reason for lashing out was they feel like outkast and misunderstood. But hey everyone just want stupid punchlines and off beat flows...... Smh
